FerringoFest was founded in 2017 by local music legend Steve Ferringo. As lead singer of The Steve Ferringo Band, Steve has wowed UK & Ireland audiences for over 30 years.
In April 2015, Steve’s life changed forever when Ange, his wife and love of his life, sadly lost her battle with cancer, having been diagnosed a couple of years earlier.
Within a month of Ange’s passing, Steve was himself diagnosed with cancer. After undergoing successful surgery and radiotherapy, Steve returned to the live music scene determined to use his talent for entertaining people to give something back.
Having experienced the tireless work of the doctors & nurses involved in their care, Steve made it his goal to raise much needed funds for the two cancer charities, Macmillan Cancer Support, and the Northcare Charity, that had supported both him and Ange throughout their illnesses.
This was when FerringoFest was born, and soon grew to become one of the biggest and most successful local music events each year, showcasing local music talent, as well as raising thousands of pounds for Steve’s chosen charities.
Following 7 years in remission, sadly Steve’s cancer returned in 2022, and he sadly passed away in October 2024. Despite his illness, Steve worked tirelessly right up to the end to ensure that the foundations were in place for this year’s festival.
To date FerringoFest has raised over £80,000 and with your help, we want to make FerringoFest 2025 the biggest and best yet, and hopefully top the £100k mark!
FerringoFest 2025 will be a day of celebration, music, fun and laughter on the Sunday, the Fun Day, the Day Before The Bank Holiday Monday! Let’s do this…
This one is for Steve!
